Summary
Holler is built to keep your voice on your own network. It has no user accounts, collects no personal data, contains no analytics or tracking, and operates no servers that receive your content.
What Holler processes
- Audio you record: captured from your microphone, stored locally on your device, and streamed over your local network to the speakers you select. It is not uploaded to us or any third party.
- Pre-recorded messages: saved locally on your device until you delete them.
- Speaker information: the names and local network addresses of speakers Holler discovers, kept on your device to remember your selections. This never leaves your device.
- Settings: your hotkey and preferences, stored locally.
What Holler does not do
- No account creation, sign-in, or personal identifiers.
- No analytics, telemetry, advertising, or third-party SDKs.
- No transmission of your recordings off your local network.
- No sale or sharing of personal information.
Permissions
Holler requests Microphone access to record your voice, Local Network access to discover and reach your speakers, and (on Mac) Input Monitoring to detect the push-to-talk hotkey. Each is used solely for the function described and can be revoked any time in your system settings.
Your rights
Because Holler stores everything locally and we never receive your data, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, export, or delete. This aligns with PIPEDA (Canada), the GDPR (EU/UK), the CCPA/CPRA (California), and the LGPD (Brazil); the only personal data involved stays under your control on your own device.
Children
Holler is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
